We keep it simple here. The space is yours from 8am-12am. Amplified music must be turned off by 10pm. Need more hours? If you need additional days to set-up, drop stuff off for your event, or to load out you’ll need to book an extra day. Additional days needed come with a 20% discount.
At The Yard, we keep away from sneaky fees or F&B minimums. Your rental includes the space from 8am-12am, no paying for things you don’t need. The space includes indoor bathrooms and mezzanine green room. While we’ve got besties in the industry that we’re happy to connect you with for any decor, catering, AV, or additional needs, these are not mandatory or exclusive.
Yes we have multiple indoor common area bathrooms (with a total of 24 toilets/urinals) available that are included in your rental. For large events, temporary bathrooms will need to be rented. We have preferred vendors who provide this service and are happy to provide their contact information.
Yes, your rental includes a 2,000 sq. ft indoor loft. Should you need more space, we usually have warehouse spaces available for rent that we’re happy to show you.
We provide the space, you provide the nitty gritty. The Yard is a blank canvas for your event so bring whatever power, lights or other facilities you may need. We have bathrooms and dumpsters available for use and have friendly vendors we recommend should you need any more.
Given the size of the venue, we cannot guarantee a weather backup for your event. If there are any available indoor spaces available that can accommodate your group, we will gladly move you inside. Please note that indoor space is not always available and has limited facilities.
Unlike city-run parks, The Yard is a private event space. Every event is different so we encourage you to talk with your vendors about any permits you may need. See below for liquor specific questions and needs!
Yes, to keep everyone safe, we require a certificate of insurance.
Yes! Private events do not require special permitting and a full bar is allowed on site. If your event is open to the public or running a cash bar, a special license is required. These licenses can be acquired through the City of Denver (found here) and we’ll need a copy prior to your event. For private and public events, we recommend working with our preferred partners, Peak Beverage, to help build an amazing bar program.
Absolutely. The Yard is the perfect venue for live music. In order to be a good neighbor, volume levels will need to adhere to city restrictions.
As a blank space venue, we do not offer any of these services directly but have a list of preferred partners that we recommend using. Our preferred vendors have been vetted by us as ones we would personally trust with any and all events needs. Have someone else in mind? You’re more than welcome to use them.
Yes! Denver has loads of delicious food truck vendors and our parking lot provides ample space for staging them.
While we love our furry friends, pets are now allowed on The Yard. However, Skip Town, a dog bar and park is right next door and would love to meet your pup.
York Street Yards has ample parking on site for most event needs and can offer a combination of reserved spaces for staff or load in, as well as many first come, first serve public spaces for guests around the expansive property lots. Our team can share more details once we hear more about your event plans and parking needs. Plus we are blocks from major bus stops and a mile from multiple Light Rail stops.
Absolutely. The Yard is accessible by wheelchair ramp which includes the restroom and all areas that your guests may need to access.
